By installing or using Dayward you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Dayward is

Dayward is a free Android utility that counts the days to and from dates you enter and shows them in the app and in home-screen widgets. It runs entirely on your device and has no account, subscription, advertising or online service.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Dayward on Android devices you own or control, as permitted by Google Play’s terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute or sell the app, except where applicable law expressly allows.

3. Your content

Everything you enter — titles, dates, notes and photos — stays yours and stays on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything you cannot afford to lose; the Backup and restore feature in Settings exists for that purpose. You are responsible for the content of images you choose to share and for having the right to use any photo you attach.

4. Reminders and day counts

Reminders are ordinary notifications delivered by Android on a best-effort basis; the system may delay or suppress them, for example under battery saving. Day counts depend on your device’s clock and time zone. Dayward is not a substitute for a calendar, alarm or any system where a missed date has serious consequences.

5. Updates and availability

We may update, change or discontinue Dayward at any time. Updates are delivered through Google Play. We are not obliged to provide support, but you can reach us at the address above and we will do our best to help.

6. Disclaimer

Dayward is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Dayward. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is nothing.

8. Termination

You may stop using Dayward at any time by uninstalling it, which removes all of its data from your device. These terms end when you do so, except for sections 6 and 7, which survive.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. The current version is always shown inside the app under Settings and at the app’s public web address, with its effective date. Continuing to use Dayward after a change means you accept the revised terms.
